To make champurû, you fry vegetables, tofu and other ingredients.
Various kinds of vegetables are made into champurû.
Gôyâ is made into gôyâ champurû.
Mâminâ is made into mâminâ champurû.
These vegetables are good for you.
Why do people in Okinawa live long in general?
Many people say the secret is in their food and drink.
They eat a lot of tofu, pork and kombu or seaweed.
Tofu is always used in champurû.
People in Okinawa eat every part of the pig, from head to toe, in various pork dishes.
Kombu is often eaten.
And the water in Okinawa is rich in minerals.
The combination of these foods may be good for the health.
What is more, Okinawa has a mild climate.
People enjoy nature and are kind to each other.
They follow the idea of Ichariba chôdê.
It means that once we meet, we are brothers and sisters, not rivals.
There is little stress in such a society.
Maybe because of all these things, they live long and peaceful lives.
