1. Why So Beautiful?
Why is the sea around Okinawa so beautiful?
To begin with, the beaches are very white.
Many islands of Okinawa are made of coral reef.
The sand is made of broken pieces of coral and limestone.
The white beaches look nice against the beautiful blue sea.
The sea is not simply blue, either.
You can see various shades of blue and emerald green.
The coral area around the islands is called inô.
Colorful varieties of coral grow there.
Many colorful fish swim happily among the coral.
The colorful corals and the white sand on the seabed add to the beautiful colors of the sea.
The colors change according to the time of day and the weather.
What is more, Okinawa has clean air.
Because there are no large factories in Okinawa, there is little air pollution.
The bright sun shines through the clean air and makes the sea look even more beautiful.
Not only the sea, but also the natural surroundings make up the beauty of Okinawa.
